Vishwa Mitter Sekhri (VMS) College of Pharmacy, located on Amritsar Road Batala, (Punjab) was established in 2004. This Institute is a fruition of in seminal visionaries and ardent efforts of the founder Sh. Ashwani Sekhri ji, who happened to be Chairman of Vishwa Mitter Sekhri Charitable Society, Batala. The society with the core philosophy being love, friendship and societal literacy, conceived that dedicated and honest efforts should be made to fulfill and nourish the basic educational need of under privileged youth of this remote area of Punjab. The budding talents of youth should be supported and guided to academically let them grow to self-reliance, with the employment potential.

Our mission is to educate and inspire a diverse group of future pharmacists and pharmaceutical scientists to be leaders, advance patient care, and improve health for all. We seek to create, disseminate, and apply new knowledge that endows our graduates with the skills, abilities, behaviors, and attitudes necessary to apply the foundational sciences to the provision of inter-professional patient-centered care, management of medication use systems, advocacy of population health and wellness, and collaborative discovery and implementation of solutions to today’s and tomorrow’s healthcare problems.
